Stay Warm!

For all of you on the east coast and in blizzard territory stay warm and toasty this week! Enjoy the last few remaining days of 2010!
What are your New Years Eve plans? I have yet to decide on mine. Although I wouldn't mind snuggling up to someone special in this bed with a bottle of champagne. To me, that sounds PERFECT!

So Cal Christmas

This year I had a wonderful Christmas in San Clemente, Caifornia with my family. My aunt and uncle live in a beautiful beach style home a block away from the ocean and the weather could not have been better. We were missing a few key members of the family due to all the traveling we just did for Costa Rica, however it was still a great time! We missed Christina and Josh, Stella, my sis and bro-n-law, and of course the famous little Addison. Next year we will all be together again! Here are a few pics of the family festivities. Hope everyone had wonderful holiday celebrations as well!
Please note, this is a very small representation of my family, we are still missing a lot of important players in this picture. Beautiful family!

Holiday Magic

Just wanted to share this Holiday set-up from 100 Layer Cake. I fell in love with the blue and white table linens and the pink and gold decor. What a beautiful color scheme for a Holiday/New Years Eve wedding!! For more of this event and a video click on the link above. Happy Holidays! Don't work TOO hard this week :)

PS. What a perfect New Years Eve dress!

A California Christmas

Sorry I have been M.I.A., but I am here in Los Angeles celebrating the holidays with my family. It was a lovely Christmas this year in San Clemente, California. Opening presents at my aunts house on the beach! DREAM! My big present this year were my fabulous Tory Burch Wedges that I have been eyeing forever. Also got lots of other little goodies and gift cards to keep me occupied for the next week!
How was your christmas? Any favorite gifts?

Great X-mas gifts

Last week I hosted a holiday party at my house. While cooking I realized I need a cute apron to cover up my party clothes while in the kitchen. It is a great gift idea as well! Get it for any hostess with the mostess that you know!

Rooms I Love

As you may or may not know. My dream is to one day own my own beach house (or near the beach house). When it comes to home decor there is nothing I love more than a coastal, cozy, cottage-like property. Here are a few photos of rooms I love from Coastal Living.com:

Winter Wonderland

It's the weekend! I am snuggled up on the couch happily Christmas shopping from the comfort of my house. The only thing missing is the snow falling outside! I am officially in the Christmas Spirit. Here are a few photos that I think portray winter better than words can.

2011 Goals

Photo: Matador Network

As the year is coming to an end, I have begun to think about my goals for next year. 2010 had its ups and its downs, but I have REALLy high hopes for 2011. Its going to be a year of change, a year of adventure and a year of international travel (Already have two trips planned). Here are some goals that I hope to accomplish in the New Year:

1. MOVE-While I LOVE living in Austin. I think that my time in Austin is sadly coming to an end. I plan on moving back to California, although to which city, that will have to be deteremined in the near future.

2. Graduate with my Master's Degree from UT! I am almost there. Next semester is the last stretch! Stay tuned for the fabulous graduation celebration that will be taking place.

3. Take a photography class-This has been on my list for quite some time now. However, with work, school and wedding planning, I have not been able to focus on doing this.

4. Fall in love.......:)

5. Travel Internationally: This one is a must for me EVERY year. I truly don't understand people who have the means to travel yet do not make an effort to ever leave the country. I am planning a trip for spring break, and August 2011 is set for Bali, New Zealand and Australia!

6. Get a New Job: While I love my job here in Austin, if I move, I can't exactly commute to work from California each day...soooo...Gonna have to find a new workplace..bittersweet.

7. Continue to improve my Spanish. This is a must. Once I master that, Time to learn Italian..maybe that will be for 2012.

8. Do another Triathlon. I am thinking Danskin May 2011 in Austin.

9. Ride across America. I REALLY want to do this. Although depending on summer school, this may have to wait until Summer 12'.

10. Learn how to meditate.

I look forward to checking in next year to see how I have progressed in these goals!

What are your goals for the new year?

Dreaming...

Photo: Kiss the Groom

Today....I feel like putting on heels and a girlie dress and laying in the park reading a book. I want to forget my to-do list and not think of anything but my dreams...
What about you? What do you want to do today...

Next Purchase: Desk

So, I now have my new West Elm Entry table, and my next purchase is a new desk. The desk I currently have was one I purchased quickly from Target when I arrived here from New York. It is time to invest in a quality desk space that I will feel comfortable using every day. In a dream world, I would have a desk with the view above.

But...coming back down to reality, I live in Austin, Texas and have no window to gaze out at. Not yet anyway. So far I have narrowed down my search to a desk that is white (I am decorating for my future beach house people) and has some storage. Let me know which you prefer??!!!

Thanks

Lauren Moffatt: How I love thee

First of all, when it comes to clothes, I can never get enough dresses. I wear dresses all year round, with wedges in the summer and tights and boots in the winter. I have got to admit that I am not a huge fan of jeans. For that reason, I am 100% in love with Lauren Moffatts upcoming spring line. I am seriously going to mark my calender to remind myself to go shopping with these dresses hit the stores. Of course, in between now and then I am gonna have to find myself a suggar daddy to fiance this shopping extravenganza (J/K :) ).

Happy Shopping!

PS. Are knee socks with heels still/back in? I for one, love that look and have had my knee socks sitting in my closet for awhile. Please let me know?
