New Austin Restaurant Alert: Haddington's

As some of you may know, one of my favorite activities to do is eat and drink! I mean DUH! So whenever there is a new restaurant opening I get super excited to check it out! The other day, as I was heading to Pure Austin for a workout I passed by Haddington's on Sixth Street! The atmosphere of the restaurant looked warm and cozy! There was also a quaint front patio that will be perfect for our warm summer nights in Texas. Opened in December, Haddington's aims to bring you that upscale London pub experience. I am looking forward to checking it out this weekend!

I am loving ombree at the moment. Done right, this look is beautiful. I also love included ombre in your wedding design. Sometimes it is beautiful if you just pick a white and one other color and do every shade of that color in floral or linens or lighting. It can create a powerful statement. Get inspiration from clothes, floral, cakes, stationary, etc!! Enjoy

Cozy Reading Spaces

There is nothing that I love more than cozying up with a blanket, a cup of coffee and a good book. So, needless to say, one of the things that I must have in my future home is a cozy reading nook. San Francisco-MLK Weekend

This past weekend my sister Alana and I got the oppurtunity to take a quick vacation to San Francisco to visit my cousin and her boyfriend. Josh, my cousins boyfriend also had his nephew in attendance. The five of us had an amazing time! Between stuffing our faces with chinese chicken wings, wine tasting, shopping (for the girls) and dance parties GALORE...we couldn't stop laughing. Here are some pictures of all the fun we had!

The Best Is Yet To Come!

2011 is off to a great start! I have already made some important life-changing decisions that I am really excited for this year, I graduate with my Masters in Education this summer and I already have two international trips planned, with the possibility of another one in the works. I am super excited for this year because I really think its going to be a great one.

On another note, I am going to London and France in March with two of my best friends! My college best friend and my elementary school bestie. It is going to be an amazing trip.

I have my favorite go to spots in Paris and London but PLEASE share yours?! I would explore unknown areas of the city. :) If you have recommendations for either city please leave me a comment!

I recently read The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and the book was very insightful and a great reminder to live a positive life. Something I have been trying to do for a long time is to learn how to live in the moment. Appreciate the moment we have right in front of us rather than worrying about the future or regretting the past. Live each day to the fullest, as it is a gift. A goal of mine for 2011 is to be happy with each day that comes my way and not worry that if I had a house, a pair a shoes, a new car, etc..I would be "happier". If anyone else struggles with this let me know! :)
